A&C Little Voices
Speech and Language Therapy
A&C Little Voices Speech and Language Therapy is an independent Speech and Language Therapy service for children and young people aged between 2 and 25 years. We work in the community, within people's homes and education settings in and around Chelmsford, Essex. Our highly qualified therapists are dedicated to providing individualised therapy services in a supportive and nurturing environment. We believe that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to communicate confidently and effectively.
Our story

We are Amy and Charli and we’re both Specialist Speech and Language Therapists.
We first met when we interviewed to get onto our Masters course at Essex University, where we undertook our training, and have worked alongside each other ever since!
We have always worked closely together, sharing ideas and effective practice when working with a range of children with speech, language and communication difficulties.
We both have a vast array of knowledge and experience, and specialise in working with children and young people with learning disabilities and Autism.

Amy
Amy has over 9 years experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and Autism who have a range of speech, language and communication needs.
​
Amy completed an undergraduate honours degree at the University of Kent studying English Language and Linguistics. This sparked her interest in supporting those with speech, language and communication difficulties. Amy then completed further studies, which included a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Essex. Amy also works as a Speech and Language Therapist at a local special needs school and supervises other Speech and Language Therapists.

Amy has a particular interest in supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and has experience working with children with a range of diagnoses. Amy is passionate about helping children and young people to develop new skills and reach their full potential in order to increase their independence.

Amy is ADOS trained and qualified to administer ADOS assessments, as well as qualified and experienced in the use of Makaton and Signalong signing. Amy is a registered Elklan Practitioner and is able to deliver training and advice to others. Amy keeps up to date with continuing professional development and is always keen to learn about new approaches and research.

Charli
Charli has over 9 years experience of working with children and young people with communication needs, including those with learning disabilities and Autism.

Charli completed her undergraduate honours degree in English Language at Cardiff University before taking time out from education to gain experience supporting those with speech, language and communication needs, which is where her passion for Speech and Language Therapy grew. Charli then went on to complete her training in Speech and Language Therapy and completed the Masters course at Essex University.
Since qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist, Charli has supported children and young people in a special needs school. She enjoys the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; Charli is keen to liaise with other agencies and professionals in order to provide the best possible care for each individual.
Charli has a keen interest in supporting children and young people with their speech, language and communication skills in order to function as independently as possible.
