Services for Families
At A&C Little Voices we believe that it is important to see children in an environment in which they are familiar and comfortable. Therefore, we are able to visit your child within the home, school or nursery setting. We are based in Chelmsford so we are able to travel in and around the Essex area.
What happens after initial contact is made?
After enquiry, a complimentary short telephone conversation will take place to gather some more information about your child and the difficulties they are experiencing.
If we feel that we can effectively support your child, we will ask you to complete
a case history questionnaire to gather all of the relevant information that we may need.
We will then schedule an initial assessment tailored to your child's needs.
We use informal and formal assessment methods, depending on your child's difficulties. We feel it is important to use the initial assessment to build effective, trusting relationships and provide an experience
that is fun and relaxed for your child.
If both parties feel that therapy could be beneficial, then your child’s first therapy session can be scheduled. Each session lasts between 45-60 minutes and is tailored to your child's needs. All sessions are based on evidence-based practice.
If assessment has been pursued for the purposes of a report, e.g. for an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) application, we can provide a report based on your requirements.
